Absurd nonesense I tells ya!.............It is infact their worst album to date! Very cheesy pop orientated, tamed down drivel for the masses.

shit i'd even go so far as to include some of their later stuff, but everything since hold your colour minus like axle grinder has been shit and more stadium rock pop than drum and bass
shame cause el hornet is a nice guy and played a great set last time he was here

the boys def are doing their own thing and more power to em, they just managed to isolate the majority of their original fans

You guys seriosuly hate on them cus they are popular, I for one really appreciate the fusion of genres even tho it is "poppy" but my god like the island part two, that song is intense as fuck. and honestly with production that good who even cares what the drums sound like, I can honestly bet most of their listeners dont

their production is clinical and overly recycled (same with those 2 tunes you love)
congrats on being popular guys, but like i said before they isolated the majority of their original fans

imo they have some good tunes. alot of them sound very similar so it is one of those things that if you don't like one of their songs you probably wont like the rest of them. they have a sound that you hear and say, this is pendulum, whether thats a good or bad reaction is up to the listener

i do think they get more hate than they deserve...

but all in all i enjoy their music
and mixing a tune of theirs in a set is usually a crowd pleaser

just my 2c

Still good music, I am aware they were a "rock" band before the drum and bass stuff.

They came from rock and roll roots before they were dnb, then went right back to it with In Silico and this new album.

everyone comes from some roots

Formed during 2002 by three musicians from Western Australia with similar visions and musical backgrounds, Pendulum’s mission has always been to pull together their production resources, ideas and influences from various styles of music, to create a new sound that they felt was missing from dance music. The individual members behind Pendulum have been active in Perth’s live music scene for several years: producer / vocalist / keyboardist Rob Swire and producer / bassist Gareth McGrillen played together in the Perth band Xygen, while Paul ‘El Hornet’ Harding had been a veteran of the Perth DJ scene.

as artists their first shit collectively was dnb in the public eye
also i somehow suspect warner bros is responsible for the "new members"
believe me i don;'t hate the guys or discount their skills, just the new lp is pure pop garbage

also
In 2006, Pendulum's old label Breakbeat Kaos released an album containing a 2-year-old Pendulum DJ mix without their permission, resulting in group member Rob Swire denouncing the album on public internet forum Dogs on Acid.[1]

Drum & Bass musician Goldie has criticized Pendulum's single 'Granite' for being what he calls a "shit single", and accused the band of not acknowledging the Drum & Bass scene from which they came.[2] This is a common criticisim of the material from In Silico by the "Hardcore" Pendulum fans. Fans are also still waiting for an official comment on why Paul Kodish was replaced but the band has yet to answer.

hell i even see my boy kj sawka is playing with them now
