hello, I run Black Box with the assistance of my label manager Merlin who helps with the production & PR, and designers Jamie & Luke who work on the visuals.

Black Box 005 will be announced soon and will be coming out in early July, and we have loads more heat from DJ Madd, plus some new names and big artists & remixers, lined up for the next 6 months or so.

We're also starting a limited 10" sister label called Box Clever - more info to come on that soon.

Bigups ThinKing. Looking forward to hearing more info about Box Clever. Is it gonna be in a similar vein to Unearthed or a more diverse label that strays away from dubstep?

tbh we set up Black Box to be a real 'flagship' label, releasing big tunes/artists, whilst also working closely with one or two developing artists (like Madd).

Box Clever will be more a breeding ground for great tunes that we don't have the time/space for on Black Box, and we'll be supporting newer artists. As I say, each release will be a limited edition 10" so we'll be hammering out the records as often as possible...I would like to tell more but we're waiting on a few production issues before the launch date will be confirmed. We've got 4-5 releases signed and the first 2 are already mastered so hopefully it won't be too long before I can make some announcements.

Nice. I like the sound of hearing some new artists getting releases. There is a lot of unsigned producers out there that deserve a chance. Definitely keeping my eyes on this.
