can anyone reccomend some good headphones to produce on for around £50 or near to that. I know it int a lot of money but im a bit poor atm. safe

Slightly cheaper Byerdynamic DT 770...im sure last time i saw them they where about £70... But if you can afford go for the Sennheiser HD-25

Got myself some of these, £70ish.

AKG K240S

I don't think the HD-25s are meant to be all that for producing...wicked DJing phones though.

yea seen av read that a few times on here, what makes em a bit poor for producin or just personal preferance? mite buy em neway., lookin to start spiniin soon neway so may aswell gte em now n save my self the hassle of havin shit ones for another year lol. safe man

yeah i should get round to replacing these when i have some money:
(no i didnt choose them they came with the decks 2nd hand!)

are the HD25s the one to go for then? sound quality for producing would be the priority, although if they werent too delicate to use for mixing aswell that would be a bonus

yea i got some of them, proper light n comfy! really quiet bass tho so u have to proper concentrate on it.. suppose thats the point then!

get em from american ebay shipped back n their still cheaper than u can get em in england, got mine for bout £50.. plus £10 shipping

doesn't really matter what you use so long as you know the headphones inside out, ie. if your aware of the strengths and weakness's and accomodate for that when sequencing you should get the mix sounding close to what you want. wouldn't reccomend mixing down on headphones though, dodgy bizness imo.

i've got a pair of Sony MDR 7506 Professional studio monitor headphones.

they cost me about $180 canadian so that is prolly around 85 pounds

It's not gonna matter... anything with a good response really. look at the package there should be a reponse curve, try to abstain from the ones that have more of a curve than a flat repsonse. But look how many professional engineers use old school ns10's, they sound like shit... but when you're used to them and you familiar with how they repsond then you're good to go.

try to find something that sounds similar to your monitors and compare em say one earphone on while speakers playing

another vote for the AKGs...they work well for me and are very comfortable.
