Looks like its time i need to learn to mix using cdj's.

I have had allot of experiance mixing on a controller (with and without sync)

I have about £500 max.

I really want some Pinoneers, not the 100 or 200's , i want ones with scratch and viynl mode.

Get the pioneer cdj-800s, less expensive than the 1000's but just as good IMO. My buddy has some and we play on em all the time.

i can only just buy one 800 secondhand for £500 lol.

400s are pretty good. You just want em at home to practice on right? Most clubs have 1000's, 800's are more like 1000's but there all very similar to mix on, a lot easier than vinyl.

Yeah, 800's are a simalar layout.

I think 400's are cheaper though.

I use Numark Axis 9's, they aren't flashy but do everything they need to do. Variable pitch ranges, key lock, a few effects, but who uses effects really... also a scratch wheel that feels pretty natural. I've had them for years and they've never failed me, except when I left them outside in my frozen car for 2 weeks, it took them an hour to thaw out so I could use them

They're priced (or were priced) at $300 each, and you can get used ones for cheaper. Hope my input helps. Later!
