Bass Music

I was at a festival over the weekend in Santa Cruz, California... Some very good artists were there such as Kraddy, Bil Bless, Ill Gates, Freq Nasty, and David Starfire....
anyway... I expected to hear a lot of dubstep due to the MASSIVE bass cabinets they had under the speakers... Freq Nasty tore it up and it turned out it wasn't really dubstep, I just couldn't call it that, it was sub-music... just hundreds of different sub hits and tuned 808's... then came the glitchy bass wobble/whomp sounds, but it all came without that typical kick, hihat triplet, snare combo...
