You can get a program called dfx for media player it makes the audio coming out of media player ound better and you

For Ubuntu and select other linux distributions, you can get a series of drivers and applications called the JACK Audio Interface. They work by allowing you too route any software or device on your system capable of producing an audio signal, to any device or software capable of processing it. In short this means I can run a full mixer and effects rack on simple day to day applications like my media player, ect. I an also route these programs into my daw, and record thier signals, ect. from there.

I think this is what your asking about.

And Im not 100% if anything like this exists for windows.

Here's an internet rule you might not have been aware of:

As to your implied question, if your speakers sound like shit there's not much you can really do. Any processing is most likely going to make things sound worse.
Almost like how no matter how your brain tries to formulate thoughts, you're still gonna fuck it up when you try to express them in writing. Get better speakers and turn on spell check
