Rusko

As controversial as his name is, I do have no intention that this thread reaches a great many pages. He just came to Phoenix, it was everything souless and wrong, people who really have no idea what dubstep is about, I know I judge a whole crowd blindly but I have faith in my stereotyping. However the energy was out of control. It was fun as hell. My shirt is soaking wet from sweat.

The last records I just recieved in the post was return ii space, tell me remixes, the tectonic release with jakes, and Ital tek's spectum fall giga split. I only mention this to show I'm not a complete tool. I guess my point of this thread is to say you can appreciate all spectrums of music. Also I'm opening for breakage on the 22nd so there. Anyways...

Nearly every performance of Rusko on youtube is packed with energy... That is a fact, he knows how to get the people mad, and his appearance and movements are also mad... You just can't deny it...

I saw Rusko live once and really enjoyed it, he brought insane amounts of energy with him, he's a fantastic performer.

For sure. It's also a big look for Phoenix. It sucks to have rusko
be a big deal to see live, but Phoenix has nothing going for it. There might be one or two places in the whole city with a system I would not be embarassed to say "play on this coki".

Exactly. I like some of that jump up stuff, but mostly not. I tend not to listen to it in my own time...but, if I go to a night and there is a DJ playing this stuff, the energy is pretty tough not to get into.

I can't handle an entire night of the stuff mind you...variety ftw.

yeah i find dity dibstep to be a guilty pleasure anyway, i think alot of people on this forum are just haters because it seems everyone else is.

not gonna lie recently alot of the recent releases of dirty tunes do just sound exactly the same, but i enjoy hyping to a bassline that grits my teeth, and i also enjoy vibin to a bassline that makes my legs go like jelly, variety sure is the one.

I agree with esfandyar...its sad that PHX has to open its doors to the masses to sell out RUSKO...the vibe was live but i guess watching a Brittney Spears DVD is too. The commericalism that has struck Dub is sad and i can only imagine it getting worse as time lapses. It was a good chuckle to see though...i think my favorite part of the night was one of two things 1) The opening DJs for the hour and a half that i heard them, played almost identically what the next DJ in the other room played just 10 mins before and 2) listening to RUSKO's set its funny when you can tell the transition into the next song and be the only one around you that actually knows the name of the tune...not only that but knows the song before the repetitious drop when the masses finally figure out the song.

Nonetheless im glad PHX can atleast show support but where the F are you going to be when BREAKAGE is in town??? I m excited to see the turn out for that show!
