picking up a used mixer today, have a choice of the Rane ttm54i or Denon DN-x300, for about the same price.
Any suggestions?

get that Rane, its fucking badass.
I used to have one, and soon I'll have it again cos I'm getting it back off the guy I sold it to
the faders are some of the best I've ever used, and the EQ sounds lush. No mid EQ, but that's a minor in my opinion.
Denon aren't bad quality at all, but they just don't have the same pedigree and build/sound quality of Rane.
Rane are at the top of the DJ mixer league, and they've not made a bad product as far as I know.

Nice, I had the ttm54 for 10 years up until last year when I sold it to upgrade to the ttm56. $125 is a good price, I sold mine for $200. In the entire 10 years

they were both on craigslist. I actually just moved to Denver, so sorry the Dennon isn't in your area ! I gotta change my location....
