so i was misled by a previous post and thought i should include what my take on it was
personally i would choose boxers, fresh air down there and loose fitting, i could see briefs maybe being good in the winter but that is all

I still wear boxers in -35 winters; briefs fucking suck

I haven't worn underwear in about 6 years. It ain't a hippie ting, it just feels more comfortable. Does mean I have to be a bit more careful when zipping up post-piss.
