nice bro - killer list thats bringing me back as I read it. I grew up in Green Bay and we used to drive down to Chitown for shows all the time. Most of those are a bit before my time getting into the scene, but they bring me back none the less...

FUSE - Approach And Identify [plus8004]

Not a "classic" per se,and not all that old(1990),but just a personal fave.

The 'Train Tracs" EP[WaxTrax] contains it too,I believe.Speaking of which,THAT was a pretty good one too.'92 maybe?Loved the variations with the versions, particularly "Train-Trac(The Day After[MV's Mix])".It also had "Confusion" on it which is pure Detroit Acid! :D

they repressed ART 3 last year so CC's (although it's actually by BFC) chicken noodle soup ought to be available for reasonable prices. aslo Elements 1989-90 is worth tracking down

The Derrick May's Innovator Boxed set on R&S was set to be re-released last year but it doesn't seem to have appeared yet.

Basically also anything by

Antony "Shake" Shakir
UR
Red Planet
Early Kenny Larkin, stuff such as Azimuth & Metaphor

not detroit per se but excellent and includes in my opinion one of the best techno tracks ever (storm)

anything by In Sync (no not the boy band)
and anything on his label 10th Planet

Good call, a true original... can't give Shake enough credit. Hope he will repress his Frictional catalog one day still. It's too good to be unavailable.
