agreed

works better on elements lower in the frequency spectrum

some people do it right though (Mount Kimbie's Would Know basically sounds like a filtered freeway being sidechained)

Few things, this is intentionally made to pump. You don't have to pump anything, but still sidechain to fuck.

Have to confess, I'm side chaining the shit out of everything now. I have a tendency towards wall of sound, but I've been compromising with the side chaining for clarity and power, just a bit though. Mixes are still murky and powerless. :)

Also of note, if you're going to use that limiter like that (and I wouldn't), I'd recommend taking the limiter's attack down to 0. This will remove latency introduced by the limiter, which I think will cause problems with the way fl is/will be handling pdc and the sidechain input.

I'll have to try this out. Been using the Peak Controller up till now ( or whatever it's called). Worked pretty well.

as do i.
anyone ever tried sidechaining to you kick and snare?
that shit sounds pretty cool, especially if you include the reverb tail on the channel.

I make a side chain buss of stuff. Jokes.

Like big buss coming through, just wreaking havoc in the mix, just trampling the weak.

So basicly if its not coverd in pictures and/or video its not a tutorial?

The fact was i put info up the info-it worked- the end =)

Yeah thing why you proberly havent seen it yet is because it was added into
Fruity loops on version 9=) image line doing some good ;)

The pumping sound is more of a house/dance music tool in my opinion
