reaper? logic? cubase? pro tools? ableton live?

i'm really just trying to be able to incorporate vst's into my production. i hate that reason doesn't let you.

Theres no "best" program, its down to personal preference try them out yourself

im basically just trying to experiment with massive. i haven't used any of the programs listen. so i'm asking for reccomendations.

I like to mix in pro tools but that doesn't support vst's without extra plugins to support them. I wonder if garage band would work with vst plugins and rewire. I think you should look for something cheap and simple since live and logic have serious learning curves and functionality if you just want to incorporate vst plugins with reason.

Listen to dza's advice, if you want my personal recommendation then it would definitely be ableton, *personally* I find they gel together really really well.

On a side note massive is over rated and over used in my opinion (not to mention thor and malstrom eat it for breakfast), but there are definitely some vsts that will be of great use to you, mostly effects and limiters etc or interesting synths like chimera.

i've wanted ableton for awhile. but [blah blah blah money problems] i don't want to spend decent money on a program right now, im currently paying off my new macbook pro. i've been reading up like crazy on cracking live, and tried twice now, and no luck.

so i was hoping someone could reccomend some other shit, and i was going to research it. though, i should be getting pro tools very soon for free, through studio i work with.

i'd say ableton but im slightly biased

massive fits right in as vst.

Get Reaper then, it's only like $60 or something. Haven't used it myself, I'm an ableton user, but it seems to be highly regarded by many members of this forum.

It's better to buy it man. You support the developers, you have stable software and access to updates.

i'd suggest rewiring into ableton since it offers the whole live aspect, but if you can't figure out how to crack it, i doubt you'll be able to figure out the program. either way, this aint the place to be asking about cracks..

save your pennies, or go for something a bit less pricey, like reaper.

i also offered advice about which program i think is best to rewire to, as well as advice on what to do with your financial situation. take it or leave it.

i'm not mad. i'm just saying. i'm not retarted. i know how to use programs. i've cracked programs before. i'm having trouble with ableton, and i was asking if anyone else on here, has succesfully cracked it, and could help me. because i REALLY want to experiment with ableton.

i dont care if you're mad or not, nobody here is going to tell you how to crack ableton. talking about cracks, torrents, etc violates the forum rules. if you want to crack, either read the torrent directions or post about it on some torrent forum. this is not the place. i guess you're new here so you're forgiven

no need to get bent out of shape friend, i DID afterall offer you helfpul advice. and if you want to experiment around with ableton, why not download the free 30 day demo off the ableton live website?

damn. i'm really sorry for hurting your feelings, bro.

Basically all you have to do is get Reaper I use to use Ableton/Reaper rewired but I had a lot of issues with my CPU so I switched Ableton out with Reason and well to me Reason/Reaper go hand in hand if you are cheap like myself you can just use the unlimited demo of Reaper until you can afford the 60 dollars. (You get use to the 5 second nag screen)
