I don't think there is a way to do this, but I'll see if anyone has ideas. I'd like to adjust where the lfo starts in my reason synths. Basically, when I play a note I want the wobble to start at the peak of the sine.

I can take the bounced track, chop, and slide it to do this but I'm looking for a technique in the midi sequencing. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

But what parameter can be automated to adjust where the lfo starts? The only idea I can think of is using a maelstrom with a sine wave then outputting the audio to control command values. Then using the index to adjust where it starts and stops.

I don't know if audio can even be routed that way. Anyway, thanks for helping me brainstorm.

really the only way i've found to do this, is to use one of the synths that you cant key-sync, or turning it off in thor, and then just shifting the clips around in the song, like among the bars, and then listening until it sounds right.. then when you want to export the song, put the loop parameters right before the "start" and right where it "ends" and then pick "export loop as sound file" from the menu so theres no awkward silence before the song (or i guess editing it out later, but the loop method cuts out this step)

ghetto technique, but it works and is the only way i've found to do it

EDIT: with the time sync on, of course, unless you're really good at determining LFO rates from HZ, haha

I don't use Reason, but most LFO's I've encountered on synths and samplers have a phase parameter. Assuming it's a sine wave, a phase of +90 degrees will have the LFO start at the positive peak of the wave.

no way of doing that in reason, unfortunately.. unless you count the index meter on malstrom

Anyone know if you can convert the maelstrom audio to control values?

If you're using Thor, and the LFO is starting from the bottom of the cycle, just use a negative value in the moduation matrix.
