Heard Plastician play this on his show, loved it, then cringed a bit when I realised it was Flux.
Then I stopped being pretentious and have been rinsing it since. His latest output seems to have really improved.

Definitely. His tunes are great get loose tunes but not obnoxious (like Doctor P's repeated use of "GORRRB" eg. Sweet Shop, Sick Tonight RMX and many more no doubt)

He's good aye,
i am in love with those big bass synth lines.
its a good alternative for a wobble, i think.
I'm loving Flux right now. He's gone from strength to strength and is making dancefloor SMASHERS. He's going to have to do some work in the studio though, that bass noise is starting to get stale. The man's production is always tip top though.
I agree to a certain extent. I like his sound at the moment but as you pointed out, he seems to be following a formula and it will get boring in the near future

Similar sounds can be said for most producers tho really, even the top ones like Joker. I probably like this song more as it's the first I've really replayed from Flux, Meathead is also a smasher tho.

lovin it, got a hiphop vibe to the synth, reminds me of a tune of skinnymans album

True but, Excuse Me is quite a different vibe..

Am I talking 'bout Excuse me? I'm just stating that the build up is quite the same and so is the rest...
To the person above saying Joker and other producers use the same sounds, maybe so (lol, they actually don't), but they build it up different and after listening 10 times to purple city in a row I can still listen ² it, after listening to this 10 times I honestly get bored...

did nothing for me,just seemed like another one straight off the endless conveyor belt of low/middle/lower middle quality dubstep.
imo.

So Tron, Purple City and Ain't Got a Name all have completely different production styles with no similarity then? Really?
And I wasn't comparing Joker to Flux Pavillion in terms of styles either so the next part of your post is irrelevant, my point was even top producers rehash production techniques.
Also, why do you use a squared symbol rather than the word 'to' like a normal human being?

I was just using that as an example of a Flux tune that doesn't follow the pattern of I Can't Stop/Got To Know/Hold Me Close, that's all.

Lol, they actually do. They arent the same exact patches (hopefully) but variations. Lots of people do it. Why are you comparing this track to other flux tracks and to other tracks by other artists? You either like it or you don't. Really need to try and justify it?
I can listen to this 10 times and still feel it but I don't think I've ever listened to purple city all the way through once. That doesn't mean I don't like joker it just means I like this tune more than that tune...same situation as you are in.
It's really sad how everybody is admitting how they tend to blow certain people off just based on the label they're associated with..you should judge each song individually..not by what label it's on or even who produced it because every track out there is different.
