I was just curious to see how all you other dubsteppers out there got into and involved in the dubstep community, whether a listener or a producer.
I personally was at a club in sydney and the dj dropped caspa - where's my money (cheesy i know, but still a goodie)
i had never heard dubstep before that. but when the track dropped the whole club vibrated, including my whole body.
thats when i knew i loved dubstep.

Got given a Cd with Rusko's cockney knees up mix a couple of years ago and the introduction started there haha, only just started producing towards the beginning of this year...

yeah bro same, i heard caspa a little while ago.
it was only 4 months ago that i started to fully dedicate my time to producing my own.

Heard "When I Look At You" at a bassnectar show. Holy fuck it was like meeting aliens. Went home, looked it up, and discovered this whole new universe.

Heard this a long ass time ago, when someone recommended Skream to me out of the blue. Never heard dubstep before then, but when that sub hit my 15 year old self shit his pants.

First track i heard was Night in a proper mainstream club. But being from Croydon it wasnt long before i heard a load more stuff, and probs Midnight Request Line that truely got me into it. Altho the last vinyl i ever bought was Artwork - Red EP, altho thats not strictly dubstep.

I'd heard a load of stuff in Fabric room 2 couple years ago then around that time Herbdout showed me some of his tracks... got a release out and then Rebranded the label to suit Dubstep

I was mesmerised by this the first time I heard it. It was a slow path for me, dubstep and I didn't fully devote myself to it until a year or two later.

Accidentally downloaded Skream's Essential mix in 2007. I thought it was dnb or something like that. After that i started to listen Dubstep.

Know it's just a sample, but this was sort of what got me into Dusbtep. Along with Eastern Jam and Guilty (Plastician Remix).

j da flex did a promo cd for 1 xtra on deuce magazine must of been in about 2003-04 thats when this new sound caught my attention still drop the cd now never gets old.
