Soundcloud

my tribute to the one and only coki 8)

this is the craziest tune I've ever made,

it starts mysterious, drops big and ends with a orchetral piece

would love to hear some feedback, mixdown was and is still a struggle:p

big sounds, definatley can hear the coki-ness in that track. Wouldnt mind a 320 if you got any going?

This is great, you totaly emulated Cokis style in an original sound, without making it sound entirely like Coki.
I would really like a 320! I need mad weapons for a 3 way battle in sept :D

Seems a little rough in between the transitions to and from the drops but the modulation on this is just nuts! Everything else is on point. Would love a 320 if you throw any out!

uhm what do you mean pricicly with the transitions to and from the drops? do you mean the little sweep that comes before the breakdown? or do you mean the intro?

I think I'm gonna do some little changes today with a fresh pair of ears, I think the snare could be a little more forward in the mix

if people have tips on the mixdown I love to hear

thx for the good feedback so far :w:

I mean the intro. I think it jumps to the wobble too soon...I'd like to hear just the ominous ambience you had going for the first bar as the intro...think it'd help build up to the drop more instead of exposing it right at the start. I'd say don't bring the wobble in til 8/12 bars into the intro and when you do take the low end out of it until it drops just so it hits with full effect on the drop. Everything is pretty much perfect except the intro..just seems a bit awkward. Mixdown sounds good to me..if you'd like to bring the snare up go ahead and do it. :) I think drums are fine as is though because all of the modulation keeps my attention throughout the track.

But yeah..that's all just my opinion though. Regardless of what you do the track is still a banger. :W:

EDIT: The strings at the end are a very nice touch..like the eerie calm after the storm. 8)

ah I see what you mean, the reason why I had the wobble with sub bass in the very beginning was to tease the audiance as you might say
but I think I'm gonna leave it out....most of the time I make my intro's indeed to short. I think that is because most of the tracks nowadays have just a kick/snare or hats to mix it better for the dj and most of the time I just skip it because there so plain. But I think I'm gonna make it a bit longer for a dramatic effect:)

thx man for the feeback, helps alot

and with the modulations you could say I like details and I like to spend alot of time on my tracks
