To those who DJ, do you still use 12"?

I was reading on another DJ forum about the decline of 12 inch singles and the rise of CDRs or even MP3s (ugg!) among DJs. What do you guys use, and what do you prefer? Anyone who DJs for a living like to give an industry perspective?
Thanks

Nuthin but 12s.
Been considering getting Traktor or Scratch Live, to make it easier to play my and my friends' tunes, but haven't made the jump yet.

Its definitely 12" based in this scene - especially the dub plate, which seems to be going against the grain of the rest of the music industry.

Strictly vinyl. Final Scratch is quite cool though.

what, is there another way?
just kidding, but nothing beats the feel of vinyl to me.
serato scratch is pretty nice, but dj'ing with cds is w.a.c.k.n.e.s.s.

i use records only; 12"s mostly. just started getting dubplates cut. i don't use cds or mp3. i think that the oldskool is the best way to go. serato seems kinda cool, i
just love records!!!

mp3's (or more accurately wavs) rule! there's no point in just beatmatching if you're using a lappy though, you've got to reinterprete and remix the tunes...
Absolutely no point in using electronic files for dubstep, the tunes take long enough time to come out on plastic, never mind online. It's frustrating but that's the way the producers want it!

I use 12"s and love em but the future is definitely digital, and with mp3 only releases like Kode 9's Fukkaz starting to happen more often, I'm investing in the Numark Hybrid - a cd and vinyl turntable (helps that I have a 50% discount with Numark btw, cause these are gonna retail at about $1100 US) . always feels like a 12" without the cost of makin dubplates (speaking of, where do you get em made ghettobot ??? just in case I change my mind like ;p )

As much as I love my vinyl dearly, it's becoming more common for me to use CDs. Particularly when postage for vinyl is prohibitive to places like Australia, it's getting difficult to get my hands on 12"s.
And those CDXs are haaaaawwwwwt. Sponsor me Numark...

All about 12", CD-R for unreleased beats... no dubplate cut around this way.

It's mostly 12"s, but I don't mind using CD's, it's just that most of the good music (dubstep) is only available on vinyl.

isnt it more about 10" for DJs in the dubstep 'world'cos its so important to have them exclusives on dubplate?
