Today we are very proud to present our 28th digital release, this one a cross-continental collaboration between these heavy-hitting veterans of dubstep.
Chewie is a producer and turntablist from the UK. Having moved to New Zealand 5 years ago he hooked up with Drum and bass producers Confucious and Mysterious D to form Joint Forces, a dubstep production collective based in Christchurch. Now living in Melbourne, he is currently working on some fresh JF tracks and some collabs with some like-minded bass craving fiends (aka HD4000, Dubtek and the badman Zeno). Lots of stuff happening this year - two vinyl releases confirmed and plenty more Chewie originals and collabs.
HD4000 is actually two people: Odeed and Wish. After producing breaks together under various aliases since 2003, they discovered dubstep one evening in San Francisco. They were impressed by the dubstep they heard, so they decided to make their first song as HD4000, “Guess Who”. They received a lot of good feedback and continued making dubstep, eventually finding themselves on dubstep.fm. By 2008, they had produced enough songs to compile HD4000’s first album, Nu-Step, which to their surprise became the #1 downloaded dubstep album on Juno. They currently host a weekly radio show on dubstep.fm every Sunday at 5pm PST.

hells yeah.. I favorited this on soundcloud MONTHS ago, didn't think it would ever see a digital release! Big ups to HD4000 and Chewie!!
