They maybe DJ headphones but they are Bloody brilliant stuck in an Ipod aswell.
Also really noise cancelling when you put them on. And not loud to anyone around you.

when i use them on my computer, djing, on a plane, whatever, when i'm done with them i throw them to the floor and i never worry about them breaking. they still sound and fit amazing. plus if a part ever does break, you can buy parts and you don't have to replace the whole set.

Sennheiser HD25-1 II
All the way, basically all parts are completely interchangeable if anything ever goes wrong which it never will.

I've never had that model, but Grado cans are phenominal sounding. I had some lower end Grado, I ran them over, and no other headphones I have bought since have ever lived up to them.
look at them, theyre dead sexy too.
Bad thing is they are far from noise cancelling, eeryone within 50 yards will be able to hear you.

He said his budget was £150.
I have some Grado SR-80's from the prestige series (lower end) and whilst they are exceptionally good for clarity and sound quality, they begin to itch a lot after about an hour or so of wearing them, and they're somewhat delicate, especially with the split cable layout. I bought a custom case for mine too which ran about £30 but it's pretty hefty so again there's an issue with portability, I wouldn't dare risk chucking these in a bag loose. They're also open back so they leak a lot of sound, especially at higher volumes.

I could be wrong, but I think that noise cancelling means that you don't hear noises from outside the headphones, not that people near you don't hear your music.

Was that worth saying 4 times?
It usually works both ways - if they are letting in sound from outside surely sound can get out too? think about it logically!

earbuds have come a long way in the past few years and it seems silly spending the same amount on something so small, but they can sound just as good and you don't have giant cans on you head everywhere and they fit in your pocket.
its personal preference, but i would never want to go out with big dj/studio headphones if im just riding my bike/taking the bus/walking around town/etc. etc.

i'm completely the opposite, hate in-ear headphones.
