OK, I'm not a chap but would like to give my 2 pence on this...
You need to not be friends with her, or at least not have any contact with her for a while!
It must be doing your nut in even more if ur seeing her knowing its not gonna happen...thats just torture mate
If you dont wanna cut all ties then try not to see/talk to her for few weeks - your mind will drift elsewhere and you'll be over it

i'd stay her mate but start to buy her lots of cakes and pastries. You could offer to cook her dinner but slip a load of lard into her portions each time you do....

that situation is a bit fcked. it sounds like you have a case of oneitus
from my experience if you get to a place where your friends with a girl then thats how its going to stay.
do like dolly or cyrus says. cut contact with the girl till your over it or try hit on her mates which will either a) work out and you will have someone or b) make her jealous and come back to you (although that the chances are small)
plenty more fish in the sea ....

we loved each other

we couldn't be together

i was pissed off
realized it was for the best
