So who here finds themselfs thinking about the track they're working on where out and about?

When I mean thinking, I mean activily thinking throught ideas and what needs to done to get it sounding 'right' …. I was at my sisters house for a birthday party and found myself thinking about my track 1/2 the tme and iching to get home to work on ----- I spend all my spare time infront of my computer…

Am I the only one does that?

And have thought this at one time?

If you're not constantly thinking about sound, you don't live this shit. That being said you have to switch off at the right time or it gets in the way of relationships.

every night when im lying in bed i think about the tracks im working on, run through ideas and such, plan what could be done/changed.

ive made this time, the time to do this so it doesnt get in the way of life.

M-Audio Axiom arrived when GF stayed for a night, my hands were so itchy.

I love it when your at work etc and your humming or have this melody playing in your head and your like "that sounds cool wheres that from hmmm, hey wait a minute... thats mine"

Too right, one time i was porking my monitors and i thought about my girlfriend the whole time. Never did tell them

all the time.. 24/7 my mind is either on music or some girl... and i'm not really crushin on anybody atm... so music gets a lot of thought. i always keep my current WIPs as wav on my mp3 player.. so i can listen to it and get ideas or hear ways to tweak the mix to get it perfect.
also to see if it fits in with the overall mood and feeling of my life..

I let the missus know when I'll be busy, so it doesn't cause issues. I also set aside days just for us so she doesn't feel left out.

I let the missus know when I'll be busy, so it doesn't cause issues. I also set aside days just for us so she doesn't feel left out.

that takes too much pre-planning for my life style haha, always doing some shit, just never really not what/when, planning takes too much effort, rather just go do stuff

yeah but it's worth it so that you aren't distracted and your missus gets pissed at you so you end up fighting. Suddenly you find out that the rubbish you put out last week contained some heirloom that the missus had passed-down through her family and you ask why it was in the rubbish and someone (probably you) ends up sleeping on the couch, but the dog's there and you have too big a heart to move him so you have to sleep on the floor.

sounds odly like a personal story

Ohh the curse continues, I just sat down to watch a movie -was working on some I plan to use in a future for 6 hours.... thought be nice watch a movie and not think about producing ---- 10 minutes in the main song of the soundtrack came upand what crossed my mind? I'm deffo loving chord progresstion, what love to use that that kind melody in next track.....
