An afterlife theory from a different standpoint

So we have all heard of the heaven and hell, reincarnation, black void, and the Martha Stewart theory.....
but this one isn't discussed that much.....
I heard this theory a while ago from a good friend of mine.
The massive DMT release after death.
As we all know Dmt is released when we dream, but only a little bit of it....
The theory is that when we die, are brain is flooded with that shit creating a reality that was built by our subconscious from the way we handled things in our life as well as our outlook and our motives.
If you died with a clear conscious and your mind is at ease then your brain will create a heaven that will last an "eternity" (due to the loss of your sense of time) but in actuality I think it only lasts for 10-15 seconds.
Whereas if you die with hatred and sorrow resting on your conscious then you will create a hell that you will sit in for "eternity".
Now my question is what happens when the chemical has run out? What happens then?
Remember people keep an open mind here, don't bash other peoples beliefs please.
So yeah....Discuss.

thanks, it needed to be done.
on topic, i like the idea. i have no problem believing that the last ten seconds could last a perceived eternity.
as to what happens afterwards, how about some peace and quiet?

the thing is though, what about if you die but your brain gets mashed up, what happens then?

There's only a trace amount of DMT in the human body. I know what you mean about 10 seconds lasting ages though. Time perception does seem to be a bit crooked when you're dreaming.

I was under the impression that the DMT release was a standard thing? As in it definitely happens, didn't realize it was only a theory?!
A sensible reason for it would be to 'calm' us as we're about to die, although I can't see a reason why we'd evolve to have that ability as it doesn't help prolong life. After the trip is over though I think you just rot in the ground, once you're dead and there's no brain function, there is no 'you' anymore.

Maybe calm wasnt the best word.... you know like pacify or something, remove you from the situation.

if someone got their head blown into bits by a shotgun or something? or a bomb..whatever.
How would their brain release dmt then? when its blown to bits.

It's definitely a possibility. I've been on a salvia trip for 10 minutes that seemed to me to last an eternity, what seemed like several hundred or thousands of lifetimes, it's that trip which has formed my death philosophy. It's the fact that during this trip I was nothing, I didn't consciously think, I didn't actually exist as anything, but it was pure blissful peace, that I don't like the cnventional idea of afterlife existence, as thinking conscious acting beings. If so what is the point of life?
In fact coming back into existence as a being (an intermediate stage before becoming human again) was the most horrible and abject terror I've ever felt, worse than being stabbed.
