just curious which plate you would buy first?

which is worth more? I'm guessing 007...

enlighten me.

I've seen 002 go at higher prices, and I prefer that release. If for some reason I was spending that amount of money on wax, I'd rather get 4 tracks over 2

spot on, i'd go with 002. 10 Dread is golden

Every single track on that release will destroy the dance. Nothing compares to Horror Show.

Oh and I read somewhere that the original files got lost years back, so there's no chance of a repress? I take it that's why they've become collectors items. How many releases does that pertain too?

Sorta new to DMZ, gettin real into them as of late, so any info is appreciated.

Problem, here in the states the clubs only play the jump up tunes. Gettin rather old if you ask me. One day ill catch Mala and the crew hopefully. He has been here before I know that, so there is hope.

Close, the actual metal pressing plates of 001 and 002 have been lost. But to be honest I dont really think it makes that much of a difference. DMZs mentality doesn't really put them in the game for repressing. Keep pushing things forward!

That said, I wish I had 002...

lol, DMZ on mp3. then you dont have DMZ 007. you just have a vinyl rip.

If 007 got a repress like many of the others (009, 011 etc) i think it would be way further down everyones "favorite" DMz record list. Tunes are nice, but theres a least 5 or 6 dmz's i pefer to 007. so 002 ftw.

up to dmz010 they were available on bleep as 320s

i have them all as well as most of the vinyl

mala changed his mind about offering the digital download and they got pulled off the site

i have dmz002 on my ipod and its sparkly clean

the dmzs i own on wax are

you're right dont really know or care about mp3 releases, thought DMZ was vinyl only ... however i do know enough to buy them all on wax mate. And since most of them were released after you joined dsf, and with your encyclopedic knowledge of everthing dubstep, i gotta wonder how you missed the boat.

i was using ableton when i joined dsf so wasnt buying everything on vinyl...tbh i dont just want them all for the sake of it anyway..officer is my fave and i have that...there are many records i want from many genres...i have most of the medis and all the early ones as id say the quality control is maybe better

I have dmz aside pretty much everything i want dubstep wise on vinyl now...i do regret seeing dmz002 on warpmart for £6 back in the day and opting for the 320s but i had no idea what was gonna happen

it just seemed a bit rich attacking someone for that...

and in the spirit of not derailing this thread...if i didnt own either, its definitely 002. the main reasons being

4 tracks to 2
older
fewer copies available
oo7 is on the MAH comp too
and personally i prefer the tunes on 002. Haunted was never high on my list.

Order of greatness in my opinion:

006 Loefah - Root / The Goat Stare
005 Digital Mystikz - Neverland / Stuck
009 Loefah - Mud / Rufage
012 Mala - Lean Forward / Learn
015/016/017 Digital Mystikz - Return II Space
003 Mala / Loefah - Da Wrath / Twisup Vip
011 Mala - Bury Da Bwoy / Hunter
002 Digital Mystikz & Loefah - Dubsession
007 Digital Mystikz - Haunted / Anti War Dub
010 Mala - Left Leg Out / Blue Notez
004 Coki - Officer / Mood Dub
001 Digital Mystikz & Loefah - Twisup
008 Digital Mystikz - Ancient Memories
013 Coki - Spongebob / The End
014 Coki - Triple Six / Road Rage

Blue Notez would be right near the top but Left leg out ruins it for me, same with Mood Dub and Officer.

As people have been saying there are fewer copies of 002 than 007. Also 4 tracks compared to 2.
007 has much more demand though. I think the obvious way to choose is by which tracks you prefer instead of anyone else's opinion.
