Stepping to Reason.

Oi!

I create all my tunes with FL Studio, now I want to try to make music with Reason for various reasons :)
- The tunes I hear on Internet created with Reason sound much better then the ones I hear with FL, due the freedom you've got, I guess.
- And I just want to advance making music.

So I've heard you can still make drumloops trough FL Studio and put them into Reason, but all my samples and vsts can they be used in Reason? Or are there other VST'S? I'm talking about Massive, FM8 and some more.

And also I've do not own a midi-keyboard yet, is reason compatible for just making choones with mouse/keyboard?
Ofcourse I gotta be practicing Reason everyday and play with it due experimenting.

Thanks for the help.

Reason is a closed system, no vst support.

Yes all your samples can be used in Reason, yes its compatible with your keyboard. Im quite sure FL and Reason can be rewired together anyway, but dont assume that simply because a certain track was made with certain DAW that thats gotta be the way forward.

Id recommend rewiring it into another DAW if you still want to use your VSTs, not tried to use it inside FL before so cant comment. Reason 5 will work with your qwerty keyboard, you might need a 3rd party program for earlier versions, could be wrong tho, never done it.

Personally i think FL sounds alot better than reason, but R5 has had something done to the engine as the lows sound alot more weighty now.

If you are going from Fl into reason, it will only be audio stems put into a sampler device.

Id say, mess about with reason on its own, make some samps/beats and take them into FL.
