Yeah man, Im in the process of trying to help them get out to the US for a little tour this summer... gonna be expensive to get them here though. I hope we can so I can check out the live Skweee experience.

Did anyone happen to see Kode9's top 20 list for the year? Scandinavian Skweee vol 2 is on there. Here's hoping Kode9 throws down a skweee track or two this year... (hint hint, nudge nudge)

This is quite cool actually - reminds me a lot of old P-Funk stuff (and these sounds do put a smile on my face which is always good).

Thats a pretty spot on analogy...

The name was coined by Super DJ Kool Dust aka Daniel Salvo because of the sounds of the synths make.

Skweee varies in tempo from 70-120 and is made up of all synthetic sounds. When performed live at skweee parties in Scandinavia, theres rarely dj sets, most of the time they perform it live with hardware synths, drum machines and sequencers.
