It happened when I was about to fall asleep, suddenly I could 'feel' a strange sense that there was something very close to me that was evil, then I could feel my arm starting to float and it felt like my body was twisting and beginning to rise up off the bed. I couldn't move my head or eyes to look down and see wtf was going on, I was screaming inside to try and wake the gf up and trying to grab her leg so she could help me, but I literally couldn't make a sound or move a muscle.
Suddenly snapped out of it, then I tried sleeping again and it happened again, each time more extreme and with a more extreme sense of panic and fear. Eventually decided I wouldn't sleep as it was happening every time I got close to sleeping, was fucking horrible.
Anyone else ever had it?
Reading up on it despite that fact it was fucking petrifying it sounds like I got off lightly, apparently you can have vivid hallucinations, generally of an extremely macabre kind.
There already some threads on it. I've only experienced it once.

A few summers ago, I was getting it fairly consistently, no clue why - the most fucked up experience was once when I awoke immobilized to two faint figures standing over my bed.
It felt like one of them was holding me down and the other seemed to be raising what seemed like a bat or a sword above his head as if he was about to attack me. Naturally, this was terrifying but as I gained more and more lucidity I realized the absurdity of what I was seeing and eventually woke up fully.
I've had other weird experiences with it, as well, like once when I saw a snake-like hand slithering around my room and "standing" up (as snakes do) facing my bed. Shit was weird.

When I get this, I put the TV on whilst I sleep. For some reason it helps. Apparently sleeping on your side stops them as well.

Used to get this on the regs. Proper nasty. I've kind of pinned it down to irregular sleep pattern/lack of sleep. It's odd that a lot of people see figures and that though, it feels so real at the time cuz it's in your fucking room, but your completely paralized and helpless.
A lot of the time it'd feel like I was having a fit or something, and there's be a really loud vibration/noise in my head (think it might be related to coming out of paralysis?). Also another odd thing is I seem to get it more often if I sleep on my back. By my limited amount of google searching it sounds pretty harmless tho, just not a nice experience.

Yeah I had the loud vibration thing, it was kinda like a precursor to the paralysis. Fucking nasty

demons are a metaphor for reptilians

Metaphor? I'd have thought since both ideas have been around for great lengths of time they'd be names for the same thing rather than one a metaphor.
Like calling disease an evil spirit.

yeah but demons are not the same as reptilians, at least according to human mythology
hence why i said metaphor
a figure of speech in which an expression is used to refer to something that it does not literally denote in order to suggest a similarity
though i agree that the myths of demons probably stem from reptilians
i.e. they are the same thing

Find a copy of this and watch it if you haven't already, DRTY... you might even be able to turn it to your advantage.

You lot are crazy.
DRTY, next time hit the bottle and just pass out mate. Easiest way to get to sleep.

If you realise your in sleep paralysis it's easy to get through it.
I used to get this randomly, for nights at a time. Each time, I'd dream I was lying in bed. Something felt wrong, sometimes I would see someone at the back of my door, sometimes I would hear screaming, sometime it just felt like there was an evil presence. I would realise I'm dream. Try to wake up, I would wake up back into the dream, think I'm fine, then it would happen again, every time I tried to wake up the feeling of dread and panic would get worse. Eventually I would wake up and be scared to go back to sleep.
