MODS - What is your hidden agenda???

Ok yet another thread mysteriously dissappears on this forum without being locked which begs me to ask the question to whoever keeps doing this behind the scenes shit - what exactly is your hidden agenda?

Don't give me some bullshit about glitches in the matrix etc - yet again there's heated talk about artists on the more filthy/cheesy side of the scene (Flux, Doctor P & Funtcase) and thread just vanishes without being locked so whats the crack?

You guys are perfectly happy to take Circus's money for advertising on here so seems a bit 2 faced to get rid of threads where theres some positive talk (from me in this case) about those artists doesn't it?

I can't see any thread you're talking about that's been moved - perhaps instead of making rude, accusatory threads like this you could have asked one or more of the Mods directly? I for one do not appreciate being called 'two-faced' or worse unless there's something to substantiate the claim.

Threads do disappear from time to time, it's usually nothing more than database cock-ups. :|

Database cock-ups aren't continuous.

More than likely someone has deleted it, which is why you can't see it.

I was reading it, pressed refresh to see more posts and then I got a "the post you have requested cannot be found".

strange.

Regardless, a thread like this is not the way to go. Even if a thread is deleted accidentally/purposefully, it could be done without the knowledge of any of the other Mods.

there is no hidden agenda. the mods have to make a decision about threads and that's not always going to go down well with everyone. i didn't see the thread myself so i really couldn't comment on why it was deleted or if it was the right choice, but like thinking said please message one of the mods and we can clear things up if possible

Threads definitely do get deleted sometimes.... I think it's a fair question. Not that I think there's any great conspiracy, but perhaps whoever's doing it should stop! Locking inappropriate threads is much better, not least because reasons are given. Straight deleting threads with no clear reason just seems lazy and impolite. Just my 2p's worth though!

Yeah, there is way too much moderation here. We're not 12, and our mummys won't turn off our internet if we see some swear words in a thread.

I'm not accusing you of being 2 faced (bigup on the excellent releases your putting out on Black Box btw) but someone involved in the running of this site is making threads dissappear and it seems to be when its talk related to the more filthy/cheesy side of the scene. Perfectly ok for me to have a rant about Circus artist releases which I don't like but not ok for me to give them a bit of praise when I've heard other material which I like.

I support artists from opposite extremes of sound within "dubstep" but im not feeling the politics at work from some ppl in this scene at all atm

I've been told I've been trying to get into deep for "the wrong reasons" - is writing music you like listening to not the only reason you need to produce that music?

It should be the only reason.

Then if other people like it too, trust.

pretty sure the thread in question ("Doctor P or Flux Pavillion") was canned on the assumption that the original poster was just stirring up trouble...
in any event im sure rationale is more about getting the shit-talking off the front page... coz as far as # of words there were way more words slagging those two off than there were defending them..
