Anyone heard this guy's tunes? Fucking incredible!

He's got a new EP coming out in about 10 days or so called 'Temporary Thrillz'. Mine's pre-ordered already!

Anyway, just wanted to voice how amazing I think his music is, peace.

Yeah, that's a very special tune. Slept on it though and wish I hadn't, have you seen how much a copy would set you back now!?

+1

Love this 12". The sleeve is great too. The background info on the 'Love Quadrant' and the Electropod-250 Collision was a nice touch.

Artwork, tracklist and background story for the new EP:

Image

1. Mercurial Attraction
2. Kaleidoscopic Ecstasy
3. 2EZ (Autopilot’s Lament)
4. Transatlantic Landing Bay
5. Temporary Thrillz
6. Simmering Emotion (Stay With Me)

Trapped in a time that is not his own on a planet he has only read about in history archives, Mr. 8040 is one of Planet Earth’s most famous residents.

Living in his specially constructed base in an unknown region of the Atlantic Ocean, Mr. 8040 is attempting to construct a time travel device to bring him back to his own time, the year 2352.

Not knowing how long he could be trapped in the past, Mr. 8040 has taken advantage of the musical laws of Planet Earth. In his time, music out of the ordinary is illegal in order to help control the citizens of Mikrosector-50. In this time, humans are free to listen, dance and luckily for Mr. 8040, make love to whatever kind of music they want.

By night, Mr. 8040 abandons his time travel device to DJ in clubs all over the planet. Inside these clubs are some of the most beautiful women you could imagine. For a Space Dimension Controller it’s a lot of temptation, but when it’s time to leave the club for his landing bay there can only be one.

This is the story of one of those nights…

A night when Mr. 8040 found a beautiful woman and promised her everything… A DJ booth where he contemplated ending his constant seduction of easy women… and an early morning where things returned to reality for Mr. 8040 and he made his exit, much to the sadness of the beautiful woman he was leaving behind…

Yes, for Mr. 8040 things are easy to get started, but at the end of the night he finds it hard to understand if it was worth it at all. He has tried to stop before, but he just can’t help it. For no matter how hard people try, you’ve gotta have those
Temporary Thrillz.

Comes on 'purple splatter' vinyl apparently. I love how he's so into the aesthetic of his releases. Transatlantic Landing Bay is huge, you can hear it on his myspace.

norman records are great - they're probably my favourite shop after chemical. most things are usually at very least 20p cheaper than elsewhere and some can be several quid less, especially double packs and the like, and with free delivery over £50 as well. there's not got a big stock of the more obscure stuff but they have a really wide range of stuff. quite often they send you a moam with your records as well which is the kind of personal touch so often lost when buying online

just realise i sound like i'm advertising there haha. i am in no way affiliated with norman records

That Sonar set is the business. Don't suppose anyone has a working link for the FACT Mix he did last year?

It's encouraging to see so many people are into his sound on here, I think he's one of the most important producers of the last few years (and that's saying something seeing as he's only put out 3 records!)
