yeah i know i know doorly is shit right? but i was just looking at the tracklist for his EM and it looks really quite good, was wondering if anyone had a good copy so i could judge for my self
I think the whole hyper wobble stuff was just a phase he went through. Tracklist for that looks excellent, and he did move away from the whole wobble ting after his breif stint of infamy -

Looks like he's just jumping on the next popular thing.

When we brought him here, I talked to him for a bit and I kind of got that vibe too. Mans a sick DJ live though, and he's on ministry of sound so what can you expect?

Does he make any of his own tracks or just remixes?

His set in Auckland was one of the worst I've ever witnessed, had to walk out.
This tracklist on the other hand.... actually looks good.

what, so if you make lowest common denominator shitstep and then move on to actually good music (and that tracklist is pretty fucking big), then you're just doing the next popular thing?
damned if you do and damned if you don't

I think quite alot of people got sucked into the filth side of things, and for a little while i really enjoyed it. BUT after a while the novelty has worn off. Im listening to and playing alot of deeper more vocal stuff, looking back to the old skool garage tunes etc. Obvs a few tear-out tracks make it into my sets, but i think the same can be said for Doorly. People progress.......you'd be slating him more if he just continued as he was. His mixing is pretty much on point and well executed. So biggup for his progression.

This. Cant slate someone for playing good music. He could of gone down the commercial remix filth route for this mix and got like 10 times more downloads if he had wanted. Took guts to do that tracklist. Credit where credits due.

Bollocks. The whole filth thing is dying and the funky/housey stuff is gaining momentum. He's jumped a sinking ship.

Yeah... So he has realised he is was playing shit music and is now playing better music. And what crime is that exactly?

Who said it was a crime? I just said that's what he's doing. How do you know that's what he thought?
If he likes this stuff, why didn't he play it before?

Man I gotta move to the UK, down here if someone knows dubstep there's still a 99% chance it's yoyoy stuff or maybe Magnetic Man or Katy B.
I'm not getting the mix, he released too much bullshit imo.

You are speculating that he is doing it for the wrong reasons the same way i am speculating he is doing it for decent reasons. But I think you are basing a opinion on the guy cos he made loads of shit music before, which is a bit harsh imo. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that he just wanted a change and chose some far better music, cos he made some awful stuff doesnt mean he is just is always following the money. Funtcase has a deep alias and that stuff is supposed to be pretty good, he doesnt play it necessarily but filth producers are allowed to be into deep shit too. (i dont really believe that kind of stuff is going out of fashion btw)
If we somehow find out that he is just jumping on the next bandwagon then fair enough you were right, but i think your just judging hes a bit of a dick based on his previous music.
