Well, it's another example of our government scaremongering in the same way they did about various things such as bird/swine flu, the ash cloud, international terrorism and so on and so forth. This comes from a government that lacks legitimacy and purpose and who want to foster the publics anxieties and fears for their own warped sense of worth.

Seems like an excuse for government to censor, regulate and filter the internet as they see fit.
The US gov's idea of cyber-terrorism:

The Pentagon scoured through an Iraq war database Monday to prepare for potential fallout from an expected release by WikiLeaks of some 400,000 secret military reports.
Although wikileaks is denying it:

i agree with everything else stated here, the US will do the same, australia is already training for it, german police (or austrian?) use spyware, and so forth...then everyone will follow...but what that tells us about our leaders?
anyway, don't forget to vote!

As mentioned perceived 'Cyber terrorism' is just a mechanism to facilitate the destruction of the internet as we know it. It's the wild west...people have a voice and can coalesce in meaningful ways (so like the opposite of SNH). Obviously this can't be allowed to go on... a serf with a voice? never..wheres my whip...

this sums it up!
i'm happy to see that, unlike 2-3 years ago, at least on snh most people are aware that they are treated as serfs. this awareness is mostly due to internet info. which proves the whole thing once again.
