Slime is back once again, this time returning to the UK after it's sunny travels in Sweden with our last release featuring the impeccable house styles of Materia. Slime is proud to present 'Retouch', the debut EP from fledgling Bristol producer KALLENDAR, an artist who has in a short space of time grown into a truly eclectic style of creating music - as evidenced on this varied package. Traces of house, garage, funky, hip hop, glitch, broken beat and dubstep are all present and filtered through the Kallendar cypher with some incredible results, showing how the disparate strands of modern electronic music are taking themselves into exciting new directions.

Lead track 'Straight From The Temple' is an unexpected ray of sunshine on an Autumn day, all laidback house grooves and g-funk licks that takes it's cue from UK Funky and twists it into a whole new shape. 'Delorean' goes back to the future with a cheeky vocal sample wrapped up in melancholy keys, chiptune glitches and skittering broken beat percussion that glides across the post-Dubstep soundscape with ease. 'Orioles' is the mutated offspring of dubstep and hip hop, rocking a full-bodied bassline with snatches of saxophone and scattershot FX. The EP is rounded out with some seriously heavyweight remixes of 'Straight From The Temple' - first up is stablemate Jackov with a tougher re-work for the floor, followed by garage royalty Duncan Powell - blessing us with not one but two hot remixes. The 'Straight To The Future Mix' is a whole other side to his sound, a 2-step ride to the darkside that will open up some ears to his incredible skills. Closing the EP is his 'Straight From The Floor Mix', a more traditional bumpy garage flex that amplifies the original with some serious bootyvicious bassweight.
