Anyone mind posting one?

All I know of is three...

Subvert Central
Precise Mastering (does work for Hemlock)
Amsterdam Mastering (Noisia)

I'm interested in finding out some studios (so I can get some prices) who did work for people like Mount Kimbie, James Blake, Scuba, etc...

I can vouch for the work that LD & Jason @ Transition and Shane @ Finyl Tweek have done for myself-- top stuff.

Thats why I'm looking for reputable places who do work for artists I've already heard. I figure if a label I respect works with them, they must be good. But I'm finding it hard to track down studios for specific albums/artists I have in my collection...

Check the inner groove, it'll say there where it was cut.

I have always been impressed with the mixes of Sub Swara.... but the new album is on a new level. I don't know if it is self-mastered or what, but all I know is that no matter who is mastering, tracks don't sound that great unless the people behind it know what the fuck they are doing.

I have worked with many of the big names in the game, and the next one on my list is Dave.

^ cheers man. I hate (HATE) mastering my own material and avoid doing it at all costs. I'll do it for dub mixes to test things out, etc, but otherwise, i definitely want an objective set of ears-- and i highly recommend that line of thought to anyone involved in creating audio. For your music to exist in the outside world amongst its peers, 9 times out of 10 it's imperative that you have someone else to bounce sonic ideas off of.

Shane @ Finyl Tweek did the whole record, amidst a nasty bout of the flu and his 4th (!) child being born. A real trooper and some excellent work, with a lot of great back-and-forth. I went back and changed 3 or 4 mixes, and we probably went through 3 full rounds of masters until we were all satisfied w/ what we had.

As far as my own work goes, the most recent release is Embassy 004: http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=166159, preceeded by Bass Tourist 009 (Mista Men) & 010 (Secret Agent Gel).

been playing out Moldy's tunes on Embassy005 quite a lot (which i had the pleasure of mastering as well)... nothing as enjoyable as mastering great songs with solid mixdowns.

To credit other folks, Jason & LD @ Transition did the 1st 2 Low Motion 12's, and Macc has mastered a number of mixes i've done for other folks-- always with fantastic results. Like i said, some real talent on this forum.

3 people we use/d for different projects:

Ginz @ Multiverse, did the Eleven Tigers release and the digital release of Hyetal's single on Soul Motive. Sounded great and very reasonably priced.

Jack @ Optimum, great guy, great ear, great studio. Everything I heard him work sound fantastic.

Beau @ Masterpiece, sadly we don;t use beau anymore (Jack and Ginz are bristol based so sit in sessions are a go), but beau has touched most classic DnB mixdowns and everything he touched for us was gold.
