I am obsessed with bass and I love creating stuff, being an art student, I find production to be a refreshing change of thought and I also love to make people dance and trip them out with fucked up noises!

oh and of course all the groupies....

I became aware of dubstep (especially the west coast sound from the likes of 2 dub 2 fuck show.etc.) about 2-3 years ago. It grabbed me by the balls.

Last year when I saw Antiserum live at a bush party - I was totally blown away. Inspired me first to mix, then in June 2010 started learning to produce. I do it as a hobby, as I am quite happy in my career (web developer) - and I get quite a kick out of people enjoying what I might produce. Gives me quite a high.

I love music more than anything.
I love how it can affect people and change your train of thought with just a simple combination of noise.
My plan is to go into Music Therapy, until then I'm just doing it my way and doing other jobs until I can afford the course.

I always loved music, and I started going to college in recording arts(recording bands, live PA tech, mixing, etc)and there I had a small synthesis class..having the best teacher ever in that class and the fact that I started listening to dubstep at the same time, pretty much sealed the deal for me -w-

I don't know, I've been busy with music when I was young.

Started off with Ejay, then got my hands on fruityloops and it still doesn't bore me.
Trying to reach a goal and quitting before that goal is reached is weak, and I love tit so why should I stop.

you heard of binaural beats and isochronic tones? trippy shit.

i do music because i couldn't do anything else for the rest of my life. i'd end my life if i couldn't do music.

that and i have a fucked up dream that maybe if i make music the world will be a better place.

I just like making noise really. I never really had any artistic skills when I was a kid, couldn't play an instrument, draw, paint, any of that. But dance music, DJing, production, they're all things that are artistic, yet for me I can do them even though I consider myself to have no real talent in that area.

So it's a way of getting some satisfaction out of a field I never thought I'd be any good at.

I have no choice. Was born with an uncontrollable necessity to constantly create art & music. Like an itch that can't be ignored for very long. You can resist for a while, but eventually it will force its way out again...

It's fun and a bit tedious. Just the fact that I can create music in itself is pretty wild...I'm obsessed with it. Ever heard a song and wished that they'd do something that isn't in the song, or a make it sound a certain way or w/e...it's like you putting what you want to hear into something and making it.

A lot of people on here say that they usually dislike their songs which is odd because I love mine..which is the reason I make them. It's why others play games or have their hobbies, this is my hobby. I just wanted to be apart of something, especially because I love electronic music, and who doesn't want to be involved in something they love? Also, people hearing my music makes me feel pretty good. Even though I only share it with friends atm...I'm going to add some stuff to soundcloud soon. I can't go a day without spending at least 45 minutes in Reason.

Being creative in general is just pure fun, because it's challenging for me, and I get an end result that I usually enjoy therefore it motivates me to make more and keep progressing. :U: ... :)

Well; Originally, I got kicked out of 6th form and realised I would have loads of free time. My dad is a musician/electrical engineer, and he's got all these stories of when he was 18, and Led Zeppelin walked into the building as he built effects pedals, or how when he worked for Focusrite and how just before they went bust, the owners of Electric lady flew over to the UK, took him out for Chinese to make sure he could finish building a mixing console for them.
It made me want to be a part of music, instead of settling for a dull life in an office

Mainly I wasn't content with only be a consumer of music and a musician, I wanted to be the one who puts it all together :D

I find producing a great creative outlet and Dubstep is such an amazing genre to be a part of... there is so much freedom both in terms of composition and instrumentation, and it turns out I'm pretty good at it too! ;) Also, I've learnt so much about sound design and production working in a genre where there isn't (or rather, wasn't now) genre-specific presets where you could just whack them on and bang out half-arsed tracks... It's interesting to create pretty much everything from scratch, it really forces you to think and experiment which in turn helps you to learn how to create the sounds you want :)
