theres movement at doa via the dubstep scene..alot of the heads there "think" dubstep n grime go hand in hand !! so theres been for a long time alot of negitivity towards just the word let alone sound of dubstep...

ive only been online since may of this year but theres a few guys on doa u guys should thank, these guys through negitive threads via there work, via mixes they placed up battled through this and now only 6 months later theres a scene,a growing scene at that !!

dj bubonic/th33/djtheroy/thinking/disable/kodeine/nelaina/milo/c-necik/edits/quade/
elemental23 infact there just names that say thanks in threads of this kind of music sets i place up !!!

fingerscrossed we may see more dubstep presented at dnb events...u never know!! take care tpi !!!

You guys are too much. DOA has been pretty receptive though, I've been banging on about the scene on there for a year+ now, and more and more people are coming round to it.

Toasty, and of course Knowledge in particular, has singularly done the most to attract DnB heads to the sound - it's close enough to DnB for them to understand it.

DnB meeting Dubstep is no new thing tho - didn't Fwd>> used to do the backrooms for TOV nites for ages?

true

I would say dubstep is closer to the roots of D&B - early house and jungle/hardcore.

If you're talking about stuff like the Autobots, Meat Katie etc... I don't think it could be much further removed from decent drum and bass.
