The detractors will always complain, each year they announce that it’s all dead or that so-and-so sound has killed it, but they’re short sighted – they’re not looking at the big picture of it. They should look back, they should see that what they’re complaining about is part of how it’s always been – of like minded people saying “we can do this differently”, of taking a new influence from something else, of wanting to bring change. It’s subversive as much as it’s creative, you know?”

Sick interview. Looking forward to the album.
Benny Ill wrote:There’s a whole bunch of literature that comes with it, there’s something over 4,000 words on the cover and that, there’s quite a complex theory of it going on behind what you hear, quite a lot that went on in the inspirational phases of it.

that vocal over classic delux is pretty sick. I feel foolish for expecting anything less from Horsepower, was a bit skeptical at first with it being Katy B. Can't wait for this LP anymore.

another HP request - for Benny,
what are the chances of 'New York' seeing a repress? such an AMAZING tune, still sounds fresh as a daisy,
still got the master tapes?
For those who arent familiar, check this . . .

That New York tune is one of my faves too, absolutely smashes it.
Benny is really unlucky when it comes to playing GetDarker, always seems to have mad technicals. His selection is so good it doesn't matter tho!

i guess im not feeling the vocal version of Classic Deluxe. im typically a big fan of katy b but her vox doesnt really add much here imo. i guess i should wait for the full release, but from the clips im not into it. maybe i would have liked it if the song was reworked a bit more for a standard song structure, as most other tunes she does tend to flow better with verse/chorus thing going on. just my 2cents.
still gonna get the LP though regardless! enjoying the clips so far. the different versions of damn it/kingstep are much better then the ones released on tempa last year...
