STOCKHOLM (AP) — A Swedish court has approved a request by prosecutors to detain WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for questioning on suspicion of rape, sexual molestation and unlawful coercion.

Assange has denied the accusations, which stem from his encounters with two women during a visit to Sweden in August.

Thursday's decision by the Stockholm District Court may lead to an international arrest warrant for Assange.

Director of Public Prosecution Marianne Ny said she made the request because "so far, we have not been able to meet with him to accomplish the interrogation."

I thought all the charges were dropped a while back

wow. is someone really gona be that blatant about setting him up.

He must know he's under constant scrutiny because of who he is. Why would he hop over to Sweden and rape two women?

Sweden has cancelled an arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on accusations of rape and molestation.

The Swedish Prosecution Authority website said the chief prosecutor had come to the decision that Mr Assange was not suspected of rape but did not give any further explanation.

I believe the new charges are the woman is claiming Assange didn't use a condom when he said he would
