Dubstep DJ Software

Forgive me for sounding uneducated but I know very little of how dubstep and like minded music is made. I'd like to try my hand at it but I'm completely lost as to where I'd even begin.

Is it possible to simply use a programe/piece of software that I can use to mix and make tunes on my own computer? I'd be interested in CDJ's and such later down the line but for now I'd be happy to do learn how to mix and make tunes on my computer. If yes, what's the best software for making and mixing dubstep/electronic music? And is there tutorials and such available on how to use this sort of stuff or is it a lot of self learning?

I realize DJing software is fairly expensive and I'm prepared for that. I'm okay for money at the minute and would love to pursue making music in a genre I love as a hobby and possible further down the road maybe even make music and dj on a more professional basis.

Sorry to go all noob on you. I'm a big appreciater of the sound but know next to nothing about how it's made.

nothing just for dubstep but virtual DJ is a free programme (I think) that allows you to mix MP3s with no other equipment apart from your computer. You wouldnt be able to play in a club through it but its a good place to start learning if you dont want to shell out loads of cash. As for making your own Music FL studio is a free programme that alot of big producers use. Good luck

virtual dj is free but fl ain't. Have a look in the production mate at the top sticky. Loads of stuff about starting out, what software to use, etc. As for DJing i'd get serato and teach yourself to use that (it's the way forward). anyway, good luck, i hope i've made it a bit clearer for you

Can you save FL files and open them again and it saves the production so you can edit it? If yes then you somehow have the full version lol :)
