it may be worth noting that subtractor's LFO is not able to be synced to key (or retrig, watever u call it when the LFO wavecycle triggers with MIDI instead of freely oscillating)

You may be better off routing the CV out from maelstrom or thor's LFO to subtractor's filter freq, and combine it with your subtractor so that they all recieve MIDI together.. then the external LFO can sync with the key trig while you play notes on subtractor. Then your wobbles will be in time with the beat. hope this helps you modulate your bass/wobbles.

or just use thor with it's key sync and fatter sounding oscillators.

You wont get a better answer to your question than that

You don't necessarily have to use an lfo.
You could also just automate the filter frequency itself.

This may not be the most popular answer, but I recommend learning Reason, and then moving on... Its a midi workstation, not a DAW. The limits are apparent. That being said, some really doooope artists use nothing but Reason. So, whatever, you can disregard this. I still recommend it tho

I can almost guarantee if you switch to Massive you'll never go back. :5:

They all essentially do the same thing. Try and recreate the sound on another synth.

I wish I had the familiarity elsewhere that I had with Reason.
Re-learning Cubase/learning Massive.
Frustrating as of yet. heheh.

Cubase is clunky and inefficient in my opinion. You can do anything with it you can do in other DAW's, it just seems like it takes many more steps and is less intuitive than others. I'll say it again: ABLETON. One DAW to rule them all, One DAW to find them, One DAW to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

This probably sounds silly, but as a fellow Reason user, I came to a revelation...I was being too much of a control freak with my LFO, and I was never satisfied...then I just let the bass do what it's going to do...listen to basslines and you'll notice the wobble isn't always in time with the beat, even when it's intended to be...in some songs, it stays about a half beat behind the main drums...what sounds glaring and awful to you might sound awesome to others...if you cant get something to sound just so, then just roll with it...it's a weight off your shoulders.

jeezus, I remember when I used Reason and used to make harder stuff.. Its really simple to make absolutely stupid, dark basslines - just load up a malstrom, and mess about with mod A & B and put a scream distortion in there and find the one what gives the most crunch, layer a sub bass underneath...

In 3 minutes you'll have something what... Let me try this...

Will be so filthy it will make you want to listen to George Micheal?

Thats pretty filthy to me, anyways!
