Is Komplete 7 any good?

I've typically been working with Reason, but after hearing a lot about Massive I decided to look into it. I was considering getting the Komplete 7, does it have all the necessary capabilities to make entire songs? Or does it just specialize in certain areas.

To me it sounds like you need to spend more time in a DAW first before outlaying so much cash. All DAWs already give you everything you need to make complete tunes. Once you reach your limits there, then think about buying something hefty like Komplete 7 (as there is just so much in it).

Virtual studio in a box without the sequencer, you can't go wrong.

I'll agree with the others up to a point. You'll need a DAW quite obviously, but I've found that every DAW doesn't come with everything you need. Initially i tried Ableton and found it didn't have enough integrated instruments. The effects were decent, but the instruments are lacking unless you grab Ableton studio. Logic however, definitely had everything I needed to make a complete song (great instruments, drum sequencer and effects).
I did also end up getting Komplete 6, and I definitely use it in everything. Massive is super easy to use for anything. If you want to make crazy wobbles it's pretty easy. If you want some textured deep bass that's pretty easy too. I've even started getting into making texturesand atmospheres with it. Battery has some really good samples. Reaktor can do anything you want it to, and the user banks are huge. Also I think 7 comes with a bunch of sampled instruments for kontakt which sounds good.
Worthwhile purchase if you want everything. I'd hold off till December though, i remember hearing some people say NI have a winter sale every year.

you'll need to get a different DAW if you want to get Komplete 7, Reason doesnt support third party vst's.

I got FL, and Acid Pro as well. What DAW seems to work best with Komplete 7's products, in your opinions.

Alright I'll look into Renoise then. Shame Reason doesn't work.

Just be aware that if your not getting the sound you want from reason, spending a load of money on new products isn't gonna instantly make you a better producer...
That said, the NI stuff is top notch. I don't rate massive personally but the rest of it is amazing. Still undecided whether I'm gonna buy komplete 7 when I have the cash or get a copy of Circle and Alchemy...

Alright cool-cool. I've enjoyed Reason, but I just don't think I'm getting that real energetic dubstep feeling I'm looking for from it, I probably could learn more about it, but I feel I could go farther with Komplete 7. Anyone got any guides on how to plug Massive into a DAW? Bit puzzled currently trying to get it into FL.

And I'm trying to get my MIDI to work in Massive, but when selecting my MIDI it says the USB Interface is off? My MIDI still works just fine in my other programs though. Any thoughts on this.
