What are your favorite things to do after eating a nice batch of Shitakes? Any stories? Advice? Ever had a bad time?

We end up doing different things every single time. I've never gone in to it with a plan because nothing ever pans out the way you want it to.

Whatever happens it's either amusing at the time or looking back on it

Took some on sat night with a couple of mates for the first time in years.

All we planned was to chill with some tunes on with the winamp visuals on the tv for lighting, and let it all unfold.

Was great. Fits of giggles (often induced by our lame attempts to focus enough to roll joints) , mass confusion, completely fucked up perception of time, and many colourful memories. Really enjoyable considering after the last couple of times i've done i swore i'd never touch em again.

Love the feelin as you get back to normality and everything seems clear again (and you can finally roll a good joint!)

And Ramadanman- Tempest has to be heard tripping, see that tune in a whole other light now

Never had a bad time though. Sometimes the early nausea can be a bit crippling though

Only time I did mushrooms we were in a tent looking out over water whilst a HUGE storm was in effect, fork lightning in the distance, big thunder and heavy rain... was amazing as it was worrying that our tent was gonna collapse under all the water.

Thats true. Even on nights that I wanted to go to raves on, I ended up back in my room staring at my hands

Haha when I do actually get out the door for a night out I end up wondering round off my box and laughing my tits off at everything...

Anyone else notice that even when you are straight you can look at things and by relaxing your focus and moving the focus around a bit, you get that melty visual effect you get when trippin? And when u close your eyes you still get the crazy colours and shapes morphing, albeit not as defined.

Weird to think that these visual trips are there to experience 24/7, but swallow a handful of mushies and BOOM! In yer face.

Yeah, I only started noticing stuff like that after taking psychedelics a few times. Always assumed it was because I knew what I was looking for after experiencing the full blown colours. I always get really heavy CEVs before I fall asleep too, but I assume everyone does.

Have had one or two what could be described as flashbacks i.e a few weeks after eating a few tabs'o'cid I'll realise all of a sudden that the distance I have been mindlessly daydreaming into has been rippling and shimmering.

However this has only happened a handful of times and always within a few weeks of taking a psychadelic, they are isolated experiences and I have never noticed any of the phenomenon that you or random eyez have commented on :S

never had a bad time. you might want to keep some alcohol on hand just in case i guess.
good music, some visually appealing film, and clothes to go outside are all youll need.

Was at a party that got busted by cops while tripping once. super bad shakes for a good hour. no bueno
