ES2 Envelopes

Hi

Had a look around and could nay find an answer to my question, so ill ask away.

Iv been experimenting with the ES2 recently (Iv always been an ES1 user) and of course iv become daunted by the complexity of it, everything i know about production iv taught myself without tutorials or lessons etc so anyway. I managed to get a recent tune on the go, nice tasty bassline and all that, however I have my wobble speeds change by having seperate tracks and muting out notes i dont want, and allowing them through with the tracks i want. And heres the problem:

When a new speed of wobble is introduced, for example I mute 1/4 and allow 1/8 for the first time in the track, the note will fade in. I thought this could be easily rectified by messing about with the envelopes in the ES2, iv tried a variety of combinations but im not having much luck, anyone got any tips or anything???

change the amp envelope (the one on the right).

but you can automate the lfo rate from logics arrange window if you want to.

Yeh, I would have thought automation is a much better way of doing it. It'll save you having to have multiple instances of a VST open.

I've made a project file specifically for automation information. This way I can just copy and paste the midi information over to a new project and have some common automation settings ready to move around (great example being LFO to frequency for the wobbles). Saves you A LOT of time! 8)

Thanks guys, advice is much appreciated :D have learnt something, even though through further tinkering I figured that the envelopes where not the problem but the Compression was. The stock logic compressor was creating the fade in, didnt think to check that before posting! But thanks for the good advice anyway :D

Like I said, I taught myself to produce :P so when I started making this bass line I didnt know jack about compression except the principle of what it does. So I put three Compressors at different stages of processing, a combination of the three seemed to have an impact on the attack. Sorted it now though with a little tweaking to the bass.
