ES2 Envelopes

Hi
Had a look around and could nay find an answer to my question, so ill ask away.
Iv been experimenting with the ES2 recently (Iv always been an ES1 user) and of course iv become daunted by the complexity of it, everything i know about production iv taught myself without tutorials or lessons etc so anyway. I managed to get a recent tune on the go, nice tasty bassline and all that, however I have my wobble speeds change by having seperate tracks and muting out notes i dont want, and allowing them through with the tracks i want. And heres the problem:
When a new speed of wobble is introduced, for example I mute 1/4 and allow 1/8 for the first time in the track, the note will fade in. I thought this could be easily rectified by messing about with the envelopes in the ES2, iv tried a variety of combinations but im not having much luck, anyone got any tips or anything???
