Fucking stupid. The rape charges are obviously bullshit; one of them women accusing him has ties to the CIA...

he's going to end up in jail or dead from "mysterious" or "accidental" circumstances
it's just a matter of time

the one thing he's got going for him is the "wikileaks insurance" file

it's a 1.9 GB (iirc) AES256 encrypted file that is publicly available to which the key will be presumably be released if anything were ever to happen to him. it's speculated that some heavy shit is in that file.

tbh he's already so infamous that a "suicide" or an "accident" will be a blatantly obvious hit on him by the government. what they're doing now is the only way they can really get him; to attack him with false charges, issue arrest warrents, and let it escalate until the man is cornered. eventually, they'll arrest him, lock him up and silence him that way.

i'd think it would be really hilarious if someone who the usa simply can't fuck with would give him shelter. but that's just my dream world.

Iceland or Switzerland. I know they both have extradition treaties with the US but TBH they really don't give a fuck and iceland especially is a haven for free speech. assange has stated that those two countries are the only ones in which he would even feel relatively safe

He'd be quite safe at home imo. David Hicks & war criminals seem to survive OK here. Better than the Venezuela offer.

More than anything else, I hope he is captured by European intelligence agencies...

...if the CIA or American authorities get to him first, he'll likely end up cooped up/tortured/worse somewhere without anything close to a trial.

He'd get a trial. The odds might be stacked against him, and they might throw more absurd allegations at him, but he wouldn't just disappear.

I mean, granted, he's way too well known now for America to really show him how we do...so perhaps my point is moot, but I think it would still work out better for him if he isn't captured by the US.

even if he is in the hands of the europeans i'm pretty sure extradition would be a reality after time served if he is convicted, or even if found not guilty on these charges

The thing is, he's not the main guy at Wikileaks. I remember he referred to himself as a 'Lightning Rod' for the company, the one who's always in the public eye and taking all the shit from the media and the government. He does a pretty spectacular job at it too.
It's a shame that people are considering him a terrorist, yet when Dick Cheney leaks the name of an undercover CIA operative he doesn't even get disciplined.

'Assange is not a "journalist," any more than the "editor" of al Qaeda's new English-language magazine Inspire is a "journalist."
lol
