Ms Dynamite in Exeter

I travelled for an hour and a half to see Ms Dynamite last night in Exeter with my friend. We were so excited that we had an opportunity to see a sister with such musical talent, integrity and who serves as a great role model. Our tickets said that she was playing 12-2. We had paid 14 quid for our tickets.
We (and many of the skint students there) were dismayed that she rocked up at 1.35, gave no apology for why she was late, proceeded to play four songs and virtually ran off stage. She did not even return for an encore.
Has Ms Dynamite sold out her fans?

Its shame that you didnt have a good night if thats the case... It seems a bit weird to me though, ask anyone else who went and they´ll tell you it was BIG VIBES! I heard Ms Dynamite was late due to the snowy/icey conditions on the roads, which obviously couldnt be helped (check her twitter if you doubt it @Ms_Dynamite) BUT she still turned up, did her standard full 30min set (as advertised) and she absolutely SMASHED IT! the place was buzzing! maybe you went to the wrong gig? hehe
Grime legend Terror Danjah was supporting her, he filmed a bit of her set and posted it on his twitter, named it "Ms Dynamite bunning down Exeter" > nuff said!

Btw, if youre a bit strapped for cash (like me!

) its a shame that you didnt get your ticket in advance, for 12 pounds (earlybird tickets were only 10!), Im surprised you didnt hear about it - it was amazingly well promoted. I think 14 quid is a really good price for a Ms Dynamite live PA just by herself, but you also got "bigger-than-big grime badman" Terror Danjah, as well as support from the best dubstep and underground music DJs, producers and originators in the area
(edited to add video link and twitter address etc)

Has Ms Dynamite sold out her fans?

I definitely think you must have gone to the wrong venue or something

if you were there, you obviously missed it when Ms Dynamite gave away a load of free stuff (CDs/posters/etc) that she had personally signed. She also did a "meet and greet" with fans after the show (exclusive or what?!!) also, when she was on stage, she was loving it just as much as the fans! heavy!!
Big up Ms Dynamite! legendary in the scene and a very sweet lady too

Sickened I missed this, but alas the lanes and ice don't mix well, especially when you've got work in the morning.
Will audio be on SWU?

Blimey Pulsar, you're keen, are you on the payroll from the dubious lady in question or something? LOL. I think you were viewing this gig through rose tinted sungl-arses 'cause I agree with Rachel23 who appears to have attended the same waste of time and space that I had the misfortune to attend. Big big disappointment to me and my wallet and 3 of my friends who left at 1.30am without even laying eyes on the performer (they had to get back to relieve their sitter). She was clearly advertised as playing 12-2 (smallprint or otherwise) and was even spotted by several people in Exeter that day so can't have had that far to travel. And... if she did have that far to travel in those weather conditions someone should have a word with her incompetent management/promotion team who, combined with Ms D herself, appear to make a spectacularly inept combination.
A big pile of rubbish. My favorite part was when some bird booed really loudly at the end and called her a cockney rhyming James Blunt..!

p.s. The video is a joke too. By that time many people had left with their tails between their legs, what the pictures do not reveal is that the crowd was max 5 people deep.

Everyone I spoke to said they had an awesome night at this night. I also saw on ms Dynamite's twitter that she got a fair few messages from fans bigging her up about her performance on Friday. Being late can't be helped in this weather. Shit happens but in the end, she absolutely smashed it.
I was there and the vibe was amazing. People fully getting involved and loving every minute of it.
Sorry to hear you felt you had a bad night but with vibes that good and some absolutely amazing sets getting played on a crisp sounding F1 soundystem, I'm not quite sure what you're looking for in a night
And as for the crowd being 5 deep, I think you must have spent your time all your time at the bar.

Her set time was never advertised as being 12-2
And weather conditions can't be helped. One hour isn't long to wait. You gotta be a lightweight to be struggling past 1 am

just for anyone wondering, both of those posters who in the last one's words "appear to have attended the same night" clearly know each other as they share the same IP address, so it would appear that they're being malicious and trying to do a hatchet job on the night. not a good look
