This blew my mind. I've always heard he's a great producer, but never bothered to look him up.
Can you guys link me some of his good stuff?
Perhaps some of his early dubstep

Everything he's produced for Aaliyah was amazing. Also, Pony.

no you're all good
theres just a huge debate over who came up with the arpeggio first (even tho its practically a preset on some keyboards)
i read a blog saying that if anyone sampled anyone, it was crystal castles (they measured timings and all sorts of shit, ill try to find it)
i think the blog just proves that timba is a cleaner producer
heres the song in question:

LOL @ C.C. always getting the short end of the sampling stick…
When anyone hears a noise/bleep than even slightly sounds like theirs in something else they’re accused of stealing… Sucks to be them...

well, it's a bit of a piss take to just lift the cover art of something else.
Also it's one of those don't reference something better than what you're doing in your work moments
Everytime I see the Crystal Castles one I'm reminded of how much I like some stuff on the Garbage Sandwhich compilation and want to listen to that instead.

pretty sure they did sample a covox tune without permission...
still a little more tame than lil weezy jacking Karma and Nina Simone imo

I definitely wouldn’t touch Nina without being ready to pay for royalties (which means, NOT ever touching it) goes for any big name like that… Sade, The Beatles, etc… you can forget it… the rec companies would hunt you down personally and murder you in the street just to make an example…

This one? Timb didn't make it, but most people think he did. Apparently its actually made by the neptunes?
