I'm planning on stretching my ear, just got it pierced, any advice from you guys on the best way to go about stretching it ?

Dont do it to quickly! I left it about a month in between each time i streched mine.

I went from piercing to 3mm 5, 6, 8,10, 12 etc...

i made a stretching piece out of bone... just taper it at one end,

do it gradually, or when ya take it out... it'll look like a ducks asshole.

once ya get past the 5mm stage it gets easier, make another stretcher out of wood,
leave it in oil for a few days, or alternatively rub it behind your ears (where ever its oily like).

I got them to about 24mm this way, & it didn't cost me a thing!!

oh yeah I stretched a lil bit each time the ear stopped swelling!!

get a taper the next size up lube it and shove it in!
like everyone else said.. take your time.. if you blow one out you're screwed.. and depending on how big you go, they might never go back.
I went up to a 00g and I blew one out.. it healed up pretty quick.. but I took the other one out and it only shrunk back to maybe a 4g.. if that.. I haven't decided if I want to stretch again or not. If I decide not to I'll probably use sandpaper in the one to make it shrink.

Take it nice and slow.
Don't get excited and stretch too quick, else they WILL blow out.
I wouldn't bother anymore tbh, especially if you're DJing.

what other people have said.
go slowly. use tapers. try to use inorganic materials while you're in the stretching stages and save all the fancy organic jewelry for when you're sticking with a size for a while. if not you'll end up with bacteria hangin out in all the porousness of the wood/bone/whatever and it creates a nasty situation.
the most important thing is just to keep them clean honestly. go at the right pace and take care of them and you won't have any of the smelly, painful horror stories.

Yeah i thought of that the other night , but i might just give it a go anyway, and if it becomes too annoying take it out


so over what sort of periods should i be stretching it then, like 1 mm a week?

Go buy a shitty pair of plugs. Every day when you get out of the shower, put ONE wrap of electrical tape on em'. Totally painless and absolutely no chance of tearing of rolling the tissue in you'r earlobe. I've been working at tattoo shops for 10 years now and this is by far the best way I've seen. Unless ya wanna get em scappled. But that's a bloody mess that takes months to heal.

Just remembered as well that a straw from McDonalds is 6mm. I was young when i streched mine so everyone was just looking for cheap stuff to stick in!
