stickies - opinions?

tempted to unsticky them all because people often seem to miss them and not see new posts etc. it's useful to have them in a place where they're easy to find but that's about all that's in their favour imo and as long as people keep posting in them they won't fall off the front page - if they do then that says they don't need to be a sticky. with there being so many of them they're very easy to just skip past whereas if there's just one or two that are particularly relevant people notice them more
anyway - vote in the poll and whatever you lot have decided in a week's time gets implemented
going to make this a sticky actually and see whether it gets ignored or not hehe

Aye keep the art one
Strange how the 'what do you look like' has the highest view rate
Still not really appealed to rummage through it though

meh. I think they'd all be used either way. although would make sense to keep mixes and buy/sell because without them youd probably get lots of seperate threads, radio too i guess.
although they're all used often enough to not really need stickying anyway

Dunno about here in the SNH, but definitely not the stickies in Production. I for one still find myself referencing stuff in them all the time.

in production they're useful as a reference point so they work better there. in a forum like this i think it's better to keep it minimal and that way people notice them. that way it's great as a way of making an important topic noticeable but having a lot of them up permanently isn't really working. most of them are posted in regularly so they will still be easy to find and they've all got a topic icon to make them stand out against other threads

so people miss the stickies, that's their own fault for being dim witted
others see them fine, at end of the day it isn't really a problem
so leave it i think

Had a quick peep, shocker to discover that gwa and parson are particularly handsome chaps
Hackman's boating adventure (with sinister underlying contrail theme) scared me though

Maybe I'd post in them more if they weren't stickies.
(Can't believe we are arguing about this.)
