I have a pair of studio monitors and a MacBook Pro. Aside from that, I have no other sound equipment. All of my producing takes place on my computer for now. What do you guys suggest I do? Will probably set it up in our currently unused living room. Also, I asked a similar question earlier, would like to ask a similar question now as well...What hardware do all of you use when producing? Wondering if there's anything I might want/need to pick up.

if you have those moniters and the mac you say you have and a DAW to compose music in then your fine!

Get to work! :6:
You got all you need, well maybe a nice pair of headphones for some in-depth listening but that's about it mate.

Decent midi keyboard and nice usb/firewire soundcard could come in useful too.

That's all you really need brozer. I've just recently picked up some stuff, but it is essentially superfluous. Audio I/O, Monitors, Computer, Software. Everything else is bonus.
