I went to see it yesterday (in 3D) - rather stoned at the time. Absolutely fucking amazed me. Soundtrack was brilliant (the entire score was by Daft Punk), loved every minute, up to the end. Didn't really like the ending that much, but it wasn't enough to make me dislike the rest.
Opinions?

Saw it tonight!
Really enjoyed it, sick graphics bringing it bang up to date.
Still not convinced about the 3d thing though.

just got back from seeing it in iMax... was fairly impressed!
the disney cheesiness in some parts put me off, but overall it was tolerable..
the Jeff Bridges nods to the big lebowski kinda irritated me, but i guess they're cute, to some extent...
olivia wilde was simply stunning... and for some reason i thought she was a porn actress... thats my brain for you

it had a pretty shitty ending. i think it would have been alot better if it was about half an hour shorter. i thought it would have been cool if the orange fuckers got out and went to war with earth

A steaming pile of shite. Though the soundtrack worked well.

deep film...
don't get caught up in thinking every film has to have an original story-line.

I went to see it the day after it came out and was really really ill. I fell asleep and kept getting woken up by the soundtrack which was loud as fuck. The visuals (the ones I was awake for) where stunning and the plot I managed to capture was fairly decent although hollow.
Shall have to see it now I'm feeling better.

This film is fucking terrible. Looked and sounded amazing but was cliched to the nines and boring as hell.

i liked it. first 3d and first imax too though, so that may have summat to do with it.
don't think there were nods to the big lebawski at all, it's bridges character from the first one, and i'm old enough to have seen that at the cinema too!
didn't know there was to be a third, but did kind of guess from the ending of it.
thought the zen/chi stuff was interesting and stopped it from being too vacuous as well.
i mean sure, it's not pan's labyrinth or millers crossing or anything, it's an action movie, and last i looked, no-one gives that much of a shit about plotlines in them!

I was off my tits watching it and thought it was visually stunning.
As far as the story goes... meh... It's the Matrix for pre-teens.

except that it predates the matrix by more than a decade
my thoughts fall in line with koru ino
lol @ people saying it's cliche... the original tron created a lot of these cliches we're seeing. tron has a lot of parallels to Douglas Rushkoff's Cyberia imho
