anyone listened to this

nice stick hit you got there. sounds like a decent tune in here, but the mix doesnt really let you hear it :S the balance between the instruments is not so good.

sort out the mix down and this would be quiet dope i reckon. i would find something to replace the vocal samples so your not reliant on vocal samples to keep your tune interesting.

what you using to produce? wouldn't mind a copy of this to play if you can sort the mix.

It's made on reason, basically I dont know how to mix something down decently but I do have alright monitors tho.
So do you think certain sounds are just too low or high in the mix?
Is there any tools I should be using to help get a decent mixdown?? I don't know of an equalizer in reason or anything so I can watch all the levels precisely.

easy. I'm just working on a guide to mixing down in Reason. I will make it straight forward and hopefully easy for people to use and apply.

my tips for Reason are, dont ever use the mastering thingy, instant delete in my book. as for setting levels, as above soon come.

enjoying the sparseness in the track, levels aint too bad but could do with a little adjustment.

yeh its pretty cool, maybe bring few more suttle elements into it tho, cud hear some nice pads over that fitting in well, and make the kick bit more punchy. overall gd tune tho

or send your track of to an actual mastering engineer and have it sound like it has been properly mastered.!

Yeah liking it man, but as said you need to work on your mixdown.

i agree another mixdown to get everything sorted would do this track wonders !

Hi I'm dave from boy in a band.com... lol yeah his voice is very annoying.. And you can always find companies that will mix it down for you for free. First one is always free. Then you can compare yours to theirs.. try to mimic tha real final copy.. I don't believe in hiring someone to do it when you could learn yourself.
