the Drumcorps album was BRUTAL... me loved it
Didn't see any 'step' about it though, more of a mashup with breakcore a la Bong Ra, Enduser etc.
At any rate, will definitely be experimenting with my rock side if I ever get busy on the buttons!!

I did a remix of a metal track 'clouds' by 'devil sold his soul' last year.. was supposed to be released as a 7" but the label pony'd out. its on

yeah the drumcorps album is all breakcore, but grist is dubstep (as in the track)

also check 'ska' by distance and his early release on hot flush if you can track it called 'nomad'/'3rd wish'.

don't worry- its not an 'official sub-genre' (at least i hope not anyhow). just stuff that has a bit of a metal/bastardised guitar riff sensibility the way you hear in e.g. distance's output or reso stuff if you've heard any of that.
